I've been thinking about the big game coming up… well, thinking about a menu for it really. I ran across this simple Fruit Dip recipe the other day and realized it has been quite a while since I've made it. I am happy to say, it's definitely on now! The menu list, I mean. Can you believe Superbowl Sunday is next week already! It seems this season went by way to fast, according to my hubby. I am thrilled that our Cowboys played awesome and can't wait to see what next season brings! It was also a little disappointing though, that they didn't get too far in the playoffs .le sigh

One of the things that is starting to be pleasantly adorable is the fact that my youngest daughter is SO into football! About two maybe three years ago she sat down with my hubby to watch a game and started asking questions. Now, she's getting ESPN notifications and alerts on games! I would've never thought she'd be the one to take to the sport! I love it!! Every year, we have a get together with family and friends to watch the big game. Everyone brings something to eat. I like to have a huge variety of food options: sandwiches, sliders, wings, meatballs, bbq smokies, a cake or cupcakes, cookies, chips, veggies and fruit with a variety of dips. There has to be something for everyone, including the little ones! Everybody needs to be well fed or I don't feel like a good host!

Simple Fruit Dip

Anyhoo, it seems that there's always dips for the chips and veggie trays but no one ever really thinks of about fruit dip!  Well, not anymore. I've got a simple dip that pairs up really nice with fruit. It only requires two ingredients. TWO.  It can't get any easier than that!

Ingredients

Here's what you need:

  • 1 pkg Cream Cheese, (8oz) softened
  • 1 container Marshmallow Creme (7 oz)

Instructions

  1. Whip the softened cream cheese with a mixer until smooth and creamy.
  2. Scrape bowl.
  3. Add marshmallow creme and mix until well combined be creamy.
  4. Serve and enjoy.

If you're having a crowd, I highly recommend making a double batch because a single one won't last long!

I hope you give this a try and I'm guessing since you eat it with fruit, it's gotta be healthy(ish) right?! I'll let you be the judge. Now go root for your team, so long as it's NOT the Patriots! I'm looking at you Vinny!?
