Sitting here in the backyard sketching cookie designs while I sip on my Iced Tea ~ Palmer Style is nice and quite this time of year. I’m using a straw because straws make it taste even better on these warm days! We are mid March and the temperatures down here are already beginning to rise. I’m so not ready for what will be here in a another month or two.
That of course, is the crazy Texas heat! Needless to say, I’ll be having this iced tea via IV infusion. One thing I’ll admit up front is that I am not a big fan of the sweltering hot and humid days of summer here in the valley. Texas will always be home to me even though the heat gets a little ridiculous here but we got ways of staying cool…hello Iced Tea!

Speaking of which, have you ever had an Arnold Palmer? It is named after the American Golfer and it is a refreshing blend of tea and lemonade. Half of each to be precise. Some restaurants make it really tart while others a bit on the sweet side.
There’s this little Mexican Restaurant my family loves to go to for breakfast and lunch every week. Their lunch specials include a glass of Sweet Iced Tea or as we prefer, an Arnold Palmer, in the special’s price which is pretty perfect. This little place makes an awesome version of the Arnold Palmer.
Today, I am sharing my version. Refreshing Iced Tea ~ Palmer Style is really not as difficult as the name might suggest. There are a couple of steps but nothing too difficult. Well…there’s having to wash the dishes used but this is well worth that chore!
